JPB Landscaping is veteran-owned and operated out of Mechanicsburg, serving York, Harrisburg, Hershey, and surrounding Central Pennsylvania. Founded in 2021 by Jason Boyer — 21 years in the Marine Corps, retired Master Gunnery Sergeant.

Before JPB, Jason served 21 years in the Marine Corps and retired a Master Gunnery Sergeant. E-9 is the top of the enlisted ranks. Marine manpower tables have long put E-9s at roughly 0.8–1% of the active enlisted force — on the order of 1,600 leaders among roughly 165,000 enlisted Marines. The share of people who enlist as a private and stay all the way there is smaller still: most Marines separate after their first contract, and only a thin cut of career Marines ever make E-7, then E-8, then E-9.
The Marine Corps relies on Master Gunnery Sergeants as senior technical and occupational leaders. Reaching that level means years of responsibility, leadership, and exacting standards — the same qualities JPB brings to commercial properties, residential hardscape, fencing, erosion-control work, and pre-dawn commercial snow operations.
We are selective about our maintenance clients. Quality over volume. Recurring grounds and snow stay within about 20 miles of Mechanicsburg — warehouses, retail, hospitals, offices, and government facilities. Larger hardscape, fencing, erosion-control, and federal projects can go farther. The same crew trusted to build a Redi-Rock wall is the crew you want walking the lot after a snowstorm.
