JPB Landscaping builds hardscapes designed to handle traffic, Pennsylvania freeze-thaw cycles, drainage, and the demands of the property. Patios, walkways, retaining walls, and outdoor spaces are planned as an integral part of the site—not simply added for appearance.
Project types
Natural stone and paver patios. Flagstone and Belgian-block walkways. Retaining walls, including Redi-Rock and Verti-Block systems when site conditions require them. How the work runs
We start with a property walkthrough to evaluate the site, access, drainage, grades, intended use, and project requirements. From layout and material selection through installation and final cleanup, JPB manages the project from start to finish.
We also consider how the hardscape will function throughout the year. If snow storage, drainage, vehicle traffic, or property maintenance will affect the finished project, those issues are addressed during planning—not after construction.
JPB is a Pennsylvania Home Improvement Contractor (HIC PA178839) and is licensed and insured for the hardscape work we perform.

Questions we hear on site visits
- Do you only build residential patios?
- Patios are part of the work, including commercial outdoor rooms and high-value residential projects. The same crew also builds walkways, fencing, and engineered retaining walls that have to hold grade through a Pennsylvania winter.
- When do you use Redi-Rock or Verti-Block?
- When the wall needs engineered mass — pool grades, steep cuts, or a commercial slope that a weekend block kit will not hold. Natural stone still belongs on the front of house when the first impression is the job.
- Can you repair an existing patio or wall?
- Yes. Settled pavers, failed edges, and walls that are starting to lean are common calls. We would rather rebuild it once than patch it every spring.
- Who is the hardscape for?
- Homeowners with serious hardscape or fencing work, and commercial owners who need the site to carry traffic, freeze-thaw, and visitors. If you also need turf or snow, that conversation happens on the same visit.
